- Borderlands Tartan
The colours of this tartan are emblematic of the beautiful, wild countryside that links the Kingdoms of Scotland and England. The vibrant colours chosen during the design process depict the aspirations for the shared cultures of the Anglo-Scots who straddle both sides of the Border, across the 4 regions of South of Scotland and North England. The tartan was the result of a collaboration between makers and textile artists living across the regions of Northumberland, Cumbria, Dumfries and Galloway, and the Scottish Borders, and reflect the natural heritage and elements of shared cultural heritage. The Borderlands is home to some of Britain’s most iconic landscapes including the Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall, and hundreds of miles of hills and heather moorlands. This tartan celebrates our unique cross-border relationship where it matters not a jot whether you are English or Scots
