- West Lothian Tartan
The dominant blue represents the Firth of Forth and the ports along its northern boundary. The green, like so much of Scotland, represents the rural landscape with its rolling hills and open moorlands. The cut of black for the seams of coal and oil, which until recently, formed the backbone of its economy. Purple represents its very unique Scottish royal heritage. For use by anyone from, or associated with, the County of 'Linlithgowshire', now West Lothian, with International Tartans consent.
West Lothian is a registered Tartan
