The Design of our Cameroon Tartan
The vibrant design of the Cameroon Tartan incorporates the colours of the flags of Cameroon and Scotland, symbolising unity and shared heritage. All of our tartan is woven locally with 100% British wool, and can be ordered by the metre or half metre. We can also create a bespoke Cameroon tartan product for you.
The Story behind our Cameroon Tartan
A celebration of Scotland and Cameroon’s strong cultural ties, the Cameroon Tartan is a prominent design in the Tartans for Africa Collection, created to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Scotland and Cameroon. This initiative also played a key role in generating vital income for community enterprise and humanitarian projects. Designed in 2006, the Cameroon Tartan has become a standout piece, known for its striking colours and it featured in numerous Tartans for Africa Fashion Shows. The Cameroon Tartan symbolises global friendship and community support, offering a meaningful way to celebrate the deep cultural connections between Scotland and Cameroon.
