The Story behind our Royal and Ancient Golfing Stewart Tartan
This tartan pays tribute to American golfer Payne Stewart, who championed his Scottish heritage by wearing traditional tartan plus-fours (breeches extending four inches below the knee). It was created for anyone connected to the sport of golf, celebrating its deep Scottish roots, with the game originating in Scotland in the Middle Ages and St Andrews recognised as its historic home.
