The Design of our Talisker Tartan
The Talisker Tartan is designed around the brand colours, reflecting the rugged beauty and elemental forces that shape both the whisky and its island home: deep blue evokes the ever-changing sea that lashes Skye’s dramatic coastline, silver mirrors the fleeting glint of light on the water’s surface, while gold symbolises the rich, peated whisky itself—the ‘water of life’ in its purest form.
The Story behind our Talisker Tartan
In 2014, Diageo commissioned International Tartans to create a bespoke tartan for a clothing range designed to complement their renowned Talisker single malt whisky—the only whisky distilled on the Isle of Skye. Woven in the brand’s signature colours of deep blue, gold, and silver, this exclusive tartan is available solely at the Talisker Distillery gift shop.
