Ukraine Tartan

The 'Spirit of Ukraine' Tartan was commissioned in 2014 by ethnic Ukrainians in Canada who were exploring and pursuing opportunities to celebrate their heritage. It was registered in 2018, when it was used for the Global Wounded Warriors Project.

The tartan reflects the colours of the Ukrainian Flag and the Scottish Saltire. However, the yellow is more subtle. The Ukrainians who designed this tartan with David McGill, Tartan Designer, wanted it to reflect the land and agriculture. We love that their incredible legacy to the world is reflected in their national tartan.
